Chiropractic Marketing: Top Tech Tools to Grow Your Digital Presence in 2020

As a chiropractor, your specialty is to address pain and make people feel better.

However, for people to know all about you and what you can do, you have to reach out to them where they’re hanging out.

Where?

Online!

In 2020, there are over 240 million mobile internet users in the United States.

This means that you have to be present in the digital sphere.

And because of Covid-19 – guess what?

You really don’t have an option!

Of course, there are the obvious tools available to you:

Google

Facebook

Instagram

And YouTube….

I’m guessing that you’re probably even using some or even all of these already.

However, if you’re thinking of expanding your digital presence beyond the platforms that I’ve just mentioned, then I’ve got some tips for you.

In this post, we’re going to explore tech tools that will help you grow your digital presence.

I’ll also give examples of how you can use these tools to give you that extra edge over your competition!

Pinterest

The first one on our list is Pinterest!

Yes! You heard it right.

Pinterest. The same app that many people use to save recipes, home inspiration, and fashion content.

You might be rolling your eyes at me thinking:

Seriously?

How can Pinterest help me in my chiropractic marketing efforts?

My answer: Definitely!

Many businesses have this misconception that Pinterest is just a flamboyant app for people who like to save design inspiration.

But the reality is there are over 150 million users who use the app and they are highly loyal and engaged.

This is because Pinterest is more than just an inspiration app… it’s actually a visual search engine.

So think Google but with pretty pictures.

Because 90% of communication is visual, having a catchy Pinterest artwork is actually a brilliant and less competitive way to direct potential customers to your business.

But How will Pinterest work for chiropractic practice?

When you look up the search term “chiropractor” on Pinterest, some of the top keywords that will appear are:

Chiropractor humor

Chiropractor benefits

Chiropractor adjustment

And Chiropractor office design

Based on these results, it already gives you an idea of what pinners are looking for.

If your goal is to get more customers, the keyword that you should then prioritize is “chiropractor benefits”.

This is because the people searching for this keyword are those who are considering going to a chiropractor.

You don’t want to use “chiropractor office design” because the people who are most likely using that keyword are your colleagues in the practice.

Once you choose your keyword, you can then create high-quality articles about this topic.

Of course, it is very important to have a pinnable artwork that will attract users to click on your content.

In your artwork, you’d want to include more than just the headline.

For health-related content, having an infographic-type of artwork is recommended as people will more likely pin it.

So, how effective is Pinterest exactly in converting users to sales?

According to research, 87% of people using Pinterest have purchased a product because of the app!

87%! That’s an incredible figure.

Plus, another figure that you’ll find interesting is that 35% of Pinterest users have a household income of over 100,000 US Dollars!

This means that Pinterest users are great audiences because they have the disposable income to pay for a chiropractor visit.

Aside from the keywords that have chiropractor or chiropractic in them, you can also explore related keywords and create content about these topics.

Some examples of keywords include:

Neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, stretching, and more!

If you master the art of pinning on Pinterest, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Live Streaming

Facebook Live and YouTube Live have made it very easy for ordinary people and businesses to live stream over the internet.

If you’ve got something to say, you can interact live with your audience instantly.

For chiropractors looking for wider audience exposure, gone are the days when the only way you can do this is to snag a spot in a local TV show or maybe get a short quote included in an article in the health section of a newspaper.

Now, you can use the power of the internet to broadcast your own content.

How is live streaming beneficial for you as a chiropractor?

Live streaming is a great tool because it gives you a free platform to speak to your potential customers and educate them about the benefits of going to a chiropractor.

You don’t need to edit yourself because you don’t have a time limit.

You can speak and explain all you want.

It’s really up to you!

The best thing about live streaming is that viewers can instantly comment during your live stream so you can interact with them.

You can answer questions in real time which will engage your viewers more.

You can also run competitions and contests with your viewers as well as offer promotions.

It is important to remember, however, that you have to make your content relevant to the audience.

There’s really no issue about speaking for more than an hour about one popular topic like back pain for example, as long as you’re broadcasting useful content.

How can you do this?

If you’re planning on doing a live stream broadcast, don’t just “wing it”.

Plan ahead about what you’re going to discuss.

I’m not saying you should write up a strict script and read it because this might work against you especially if you are receiving questions from viewers.

A good technique is to come up with a topic outline.

For example, if you’re planning to talk for 30 minutes about the benefits of going to a chiropractor…

List down 5 benefits and plan to speak about each benefit for around 5 minutes.

Then, the remaining minutes can be devoted into the Question and Answer portion of the live stream.

Remember that the information has to be concise and understandable even for the average viewer who does not know anything about the chiropractic practice.

Therefore, avoid using medical jargon or hard to understand terms.

Speak normally and comfortably to be more authentic to your viewers.

TikTok

Next on our list is TikTok.

If you’ve been living under a rock, TikTok is a video-sharing app that has over 800 million users worldwide.

That’s right! That’s how many people are using TikTok, that’s why it’s a platform worth exploring.

But wait, is TikTok not for 12 year olds who like to lip sync Ariana Grande songs?

Well, yes, you’re correct.

TikTok is very popular with young audiences.

41% of TikTok users are actually between the ages of 16 to 24 but now, the app is becoming more mainstream, with even grandmas and grandpas dancing to TikTok.

TikTok is mostly identified with people and animals singing , dancing and doing funny stuff.

However, TikTok is more than just that.

You can upload any video on TikTok and it can gain you a significant and engaged audience.

So, in essence, any business can go and create a TikTok account and upload short clips relevant to their business.

Yes, including chiropractors!

You don’t believe me?

If you go on TikTok right now and search for the hashtag #chiropractor, the number of video views for that particular hashtag will blow your mind.

How many views?

One point four billion views.

BILLION!

That’s how many times chiropractor related videos were viewed on TikTok alone – on that hashtag alone.

There are other hashtags that you can use that have garnered millions of views.

So if you’re thinking that nobody will be interested in chiropractor videos on Tiktok, don’t you worry because there will definitely be eyeballs!

What kind of TikTok videos can you upload?

Based on top search results, many chiropractors have videos of themselves consulting with a patient or doing a practical demonstration.

There are also videos on how you can do stretches to relieve body pain and other explainer videos by chiropractors.

The great thing with TikTok is that the shorter the video, the better.

You can also film videos directly from the app on your phone, add captions, music, and effects.

You don’t need to have advanced video editing skills to create content on TikTok like you would if you’re creating a YouTube vlog.

TikTok is also a great option for chiropractors who are not yet confident about their public speaking skills.

You can take a video of yourself doing a demo with a patient and upload that short clip and just add a caption!

Done!

Easy!

If you’re still not clear on how to use TikTok, just ask any teenager In your family and they will surely know what to do!

Chatbots

The last tech tool that we are going to talk about are chatbots.

I’m sure many of you are thinking that chatbots are only for big healthcare companies and major hospitals.

Why would a small chiropractic practice like yours need a high-tech tool like a chatbot which is potentially very expensive?

Well, the first false belief is that chatbots are expensive.

What if I tell you that you can actually connect a chatbot on your Facebook Messenger  without paying anything?

Free as in zero dollars!

Some examples of Chatbot services that you can integrate on your Facebook messenger for free include ChatFuel, Snatchbot, and Mobile Monkey.

If you are doing it yourself, you’ll have to invest a few hours to go through tutorials on how to install them.

Alternatively, you can outsource this task to a freelancer who can do it for you.

So, how exactly can a chatbot benefit a chiropractic clinic?

What a chatbot brings to any business is the ability to respond and address customer concerns simultaneously and immediately.

You can use chatbots to have conversations with your customers when they schedule appointments, ask questions, or inquire about your services.

A Messenger chatbot can also be used to market your services to your Facebook followers and remind them about booking an appointment.

But one of the best advantages is that it enhances your customer’s digital experience when interacting with your brand.

Many online users prefer chatbots because they are more fun to interact with compared to online forms.

Therefore, a chatbot can then help you develop a better relationship with your patients.

Whether your practice is big or small, you’ll find a chatbot useful.

If you have a big practice and many clients, having a chatbot frees up a lot of your time and resources.

This can result in better patient care because you don’t have to waste time manually answering repetitive inquiries.

If you have a small practice, a chatbot allows you to compete with bigger clinics because you don’t need to hire extra resources to also be able to provide immediate customer service.

Most small clinics have limited budgets so you may not even have the capacity to hire a dedicated person to address all the inquiries you receive on Facebook in a timely manner.

A chatbot can then be your cost-efficient solution, because as I just shared – the basic chatbot solutions are free!
